Upcoming Litters at Peachy Keen

Puppies due June 2008

Peachy Keens Trial By Fire FDCH-G, OAH, OA, WV-N, TN-O, NG "Pyro"
X
Peachy Keens Golden Fiddle "Fiddle"

Pyro is OFA good, CEA and CL clear. He dabbled in the conformation ring for a short time and did wonderfully. He currently only needs 2 minor points for his championship but we decided that his time was better spent in the performance rings. He is now retired from working but had a long life competing in agility as well as flyball. Pyro is a blast to have around the house. His superb temperament and phenominal reach and drive are an added bonus.

Fiddle has been prelimbed clear and also is CEA and CL clear. She is a very happy girl who loves everyone and everything. She is sired by CH Borderfame Mystic Night and has his textbook movement as well as great temperament.

We are expecting some beautiful black and white heavily coated puppies that will have outgoing temperaments as well as beautiful structure. We also expect that these babies will have great headpieces as both Fiddle and Pyro have very strong heads.

We are taking deposits for this litter and do not expect them to last very long.

This litter will be in PA. These puppies will be sold to pet/non-breeding homes only and will be placed on limited registration status which will allow owners to be able to compete in performance events.

Planned for Late Summer 2008

Lochinbrae Gold Digger "Taffy"
X
Ombersleigh Moon Struck "Ted"

Ted is our newest addition to Peachy Keen. He was imported from Australia. He is a blue merle carrying chocolate, blue, gold and lilac. We are pleased and excited to have him here.

Taffy is a wonderful little girl who has given us some beautiful puppies that are excelling in the agility ring, as well as in the conformation ring. Her puppies make wonderful companions with an ample amount of drive. She, along with her puppies are very biddable and workable.

We are expecting blue merle, blue, red, red merle, lilac, lilac merle, gold and possibly black puppies with this cross. Deposits are being accepted and early deposits are reccomended if you are seriously interested in a puppy from this cross.

These puppies will be in Pennsylvania. These puppies will be sold to pet/non-breeding homes only and will be placed on limited registration status which will allow owners to be able to compete in performance events.Shipping via airlines is always an option with our puppies but we have been fortunate to find ground transport for puppies leaving our home which cost 1/3 of the price of airline shipping. Ground transport is available to most of the 48 joining states.

A little about us and our puppies.

Our border collie puppies are AKC registered and carry a full health/temperament guarantee and lifetime breeder support which includes training guidance.
We have been teaching all breed classes for 10 years and utilize positive training techniques. We spend lots of time and care raising our puppies so that each puppy leaves us with the full potential to make their new families either a wonderful companion, performance or show dog.

Our puppies are raised with loving care inside our home. We have dedicated ourselves to ensuring that our puppies are not only socialized correctly, but are never left alone for long periods of time while they are still young. Young puppies demand alot of attention along with a sanitary living environment. Both Peachy Keen breeders work from home and therefore we are always tending to the needs and demands of our puppies. Our puppies are never left alone for long periods of time, even the length of a work day. This does allow us to not only keep the puppies clean and sanitary but also allows a plentiful amount of bonding time between humans and puppies.

At 4 weeks, they start taking supervised trips outside when the weather is nice. We start crate training at 6 weeks as we feel that this is a great start for the puppy and it's new family. Our play yard is comprised of puppy play ramps and various toys. We also start playing tug games at 6 weeks. Temperament testing and structural evaluations are done at 7 1/2 weeks.

Temperament testing gives us a means for matching select puppies to prospective buyers. Border collies come in various drives and temperaments so this is critical to our breeding program and the selection process for your family.
If there are a few puppies that fit your families criteria, you are then allowed to choose from the puppies that tested appropriate. We do understand that people have preferences for a certain color and sex, and if a certain puppy does not test within your families criteria we can switch you to another litter.

We always remind buyers that no matter the color, you must be able to live HAPPILY with the puppy you get, so the temperament must be one that will work for you, your children and your other pets. Click to read more information on our
breeding program .
